Impey will be the latest subject of this:
https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/blast-past-no-8-stefan-113945937.html

Did one on Titi Camara a few weeks ago featuring (credited) contributions from this very site.

Samassi Abou is a great shout. Will definitely do that one at some point.

David Unsworth also good although possibly a bit too well-known (although so is Schwarz).

No one will remember Gavin Holligan apart from those of us who watched him fluff a one-one-one at Anfield in 1999.

Difficult to defend Yahoo 90s jibe given the state of the site. They are trying to revamp the sports content (if not the design) but it's a slow process and I freely admit not many people use it for their football content atm. Even if it is the fourth most read (by Americans logging out of their email accounts).

Re: Andy Impey
1) I have no memory of him before he joined;

2) I have the impression that he wasn't very good when he was with us, but not as bad as some thought. Perhaps expectations were too high? (see 1));

3) I have no memory of him after he left.

Re: Andy Impey
Was a shame he left as he was good for us.

Of course he later was given a free transfer from Sheff Utd by Warnock and then went to Wigan and scored the pen that relegated them. Which was nice.

Still the fourth most visited website on the net apparently. Hush my mouth.

Re: Andy Impey
When you say "He then, bizarrely, signs for Portsmouth" that was 6 years after he returned to Everton and was at the time 31?

Re: Andy Impey
Personally I'd rather see an article about David Unsworth, the pussy whipped flake.

Missus didn't settle in London because there were no hubcaps to nick, went to Birmingham to play for Villa, was there a few weeks and before the season had even started his missus threw her toys out of her pram and he went back to Everton before a ball had been kicked that season.

He then, bizarrely, signs for Portsmouth, presumably to get away from her.

Didn't we sign him on the back of a good game against us for qpr, then played at wingback and was shit?

The quintessential West Ham signing, arrived injured and was shit thereafter.

I find it amazing that some think he was ok for us.

I mean I know I drank a lot back then and my memory isn't the greatest, but he was bang average and closer to crap than good!

>>> Why are you writing an article on Andy Impey?!

i think it's rather fitting that the Yahoo website would be fixated on 'things that only mattered in the 90s'.
